Ann Sodahl

Caloosa's special friend, Ann Sodahl, passed away March 3, 2005. Ann served as Vice President on the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Equestrian Committee and volunteered for countless community activities. Ann always displayed a positive, encouraging and kind disposition in her relationship with friends, workers and acquaintances.

Below is an excerpt from the May 2003 newsletter in which Ann was spreading her joy without drawing attention to herself as can be seen in her note of appreciation to everyone else.

Thanks to all who helped to create a great Easter Egg Hunt last month! Those who attended really appreciated the work that went into this wonderful event for the children of the community.

Gretchen Bernhardt, our Recreation Chairperson, put a lot of effort into this to make sure the children were all happy and thought of.

I can’t stress enough the importance of R.S.V.P. when requested. Even though we have never done this in the past, the community is growing, and to respond that you are attending helps the organizers plan better for gifts, food and beverages.

Again, many thanks to Gretchen and our volunteers and donators: Elizabeth Prince, Chris Faber, Pat Wilson, Alicia Marshall, Patti Nolan, Carol Mascali, Liz Link, Cindi Stage, Susan McGrath, Glynda Bryant, Sharon Lainhart, Sharon Downes, Patti Hackette, Caroline Ragan, Barbara Doehnert, John and Tony Ciallella (from the Shell Station) for the ice, and the Equestrian Committee for the beverages.
